I have 2 Canopy lids , 1 hinge, No windshield, 2 rear cowlings, 4 pickle tips, 2 nose cones, steering shaft, quick disconnect , bearings , hub, steering cable. Revised List of Racing Items for Sale………
Thanks for looking over my List of Racing Items for Sale. I started racing in 1966 while I was living in Chicago. I moved to South Carolina in the fall of 2003, stopped racing in 2006, and have decided to sell all my toys in 2012. My wife Joyce has been my Chief Pit Crew for all these years and she needs a break. There are not many racers around me, so sadly I must retire. It has been fun for all these years!

I have priced the various Items into groups or packages. Like parts of the same type are contained in plastic bags and marked. I know what they cost when I purchased them, and given each item a useful service life value, I tried to be fair and discounted even on the price that I came up with. All purchases to be done in cash, please.
The following items can be useful to current racers on a budget or Konig collectors to repair or finish existing engines. The major engine parts and bearings are quite usable with some additional cleaning or soaking in part cleaner. I have been using Castor Super Clean to clean my aluminum parts, it is a very good cleaner for hard to remove Castor. The Seals listed are in condition from New, like New, Usable, and Usable with a lot of cleaning. ZAK told me a secret to prolong seal life, by coating the lip with Anti-Seize, they will last for many seasons and the rubber will stay fresh.
The Series 1971 Lower Unit Casting Cases need some work to bring back to usable condition. I had purchased Yamato Gears for replacement of Konig Gears. I had original Konig Pinion Shafts ground down square at the Gear end, to accept the Yamato Pinion Gears with square opening. I used this system for a number of racing seasons while Konig Gears were not available at a reasonable cost.
(1)- Konig 700cc Racing Engine #VD93275 clean, stock from factory, non-modified, and complete.
The engine was original listed for $5000.00, and I was able to get it at the discounted price of $4,500.00 because I purchased three engines at the same time this VD, a VC, and VB.
Engine was not run thru 1993 – 1996 due to a death in the family. I was able to win US Title Series Hi-Point four years in a row with this engine. This engine has one heat on it since the last rebuilt in 2003. Engine has not been run since. It has new crank throws, rods, large end bearings, and new small end bearings. I have done my own engine and crank work for years. This has been a very strong engine for me. I’m willing to take engine apart to inspect before sale.

(1)- Konig 500cc Racing Engine #VC89744 clean, stock from factory, non-modified and complete.
The engine was purchased for $3,875.00. I have the original Invoice. I have a love/hate relation with this engine. This engine I first ran at Lakeland without any testing, it started on the first pull at the start of the race, and ran the fastest of any VC I ever had. It ended up blowing over my laydown Hydro backwards. I was laid up for about six months. It nearly killed me.
This engine has less than a total of six heats. At the moment, Powerhead is in storage off the Torque Tube. It will be reattached before sale. I believe this was the strongest 500cc Konig I ever owned. Again I’m willing to take engine apart to inspect before sale.
Two spare Exhaust Pipes are also included. They may have to be adjusted to work.

(1)- My first four cylinder engine, my number VC#1, Konig 500cc Racing Engine #VC6533 sold for parts or for a rebuild. Additional parts are included with this listing (see below).
I have purchased all my Konig, four cylinders, Racing Engines, new from Scott Smith. Except for the one I call VC#1, it was my first one purchased. VC#1 was purchased from Charlie Zajicek. Charlie ran “C” Service and bought VC#1 new. Charlie ran the engine a few times but was afraid of the speed. Homer Kincaid ran the engine for Charlie and did very well with it. Harry Pasturczak – ZAK was Homer’s secret weapon. ZAK made one of the first welded ZAK Exhaust Systems for it, while Homer ran the engine. In its day the engine was very strong. Ray Hardy designed, built, and fitted VC#1 with a secret gizmo. The gizmo was a spring loaded Belt Sprocket under the Flywheel to drive the Rotary Valve. The gizmo allowed the Rotary Valve to change timing while it reved up in speed. This gizmo did not fit under the Konig CD Flywheel Ignition, but its design may work under the Konney CD Flywheel. With some loving care and a little work this package could be redeveloped into a piece of racing history or to finish an existing project.
This engine is apart and not cleaned. The engine and parts list in this package need a good cleaning with Castrol Super Clean. This engine has been modified over time. This engine was one of the first of the series. It came in 1965 without a Rotary Valve, but with four small carburetors that are not included. Zak converted it to a Rotary Valve with two carburetors, and later to carburetors with a Standoff of his own design. The Standoff allowed the engine to breath from both carburetors. This modification has been lost. Included is the modified Rotary Valve Housing for the Standoff with two squared carburetor holes. An addition Rotary Valve Housing is included with standard round carburetors openings. (2) 40mm original Carburetors are included. Engine has (2) ZAK Heads. This power head has been over bored slightly and may not be a legal 500. Four 54.18mm non-Konig Pistons are included. One Flywheel for CD Ignition, with Kirts’ stainless steel Flywheel Guard, Konig Trigger Mounting Plate, and Crank Nut is included. No Crank, Rods, or Electrics are included in this part of the package. Engine came with (2) Exhaust Stacks that is included, but without a Tuned Exhaust System. Aluminum Torque Tube is included with Thrust Bracket, but no Lower Unit or Steering Arms. Two additional 41.5mm Carburetors from my VC#2 Engine, as well as (5) Carburetor Covers, (1) Carburetor Spring Post, and extra Carburetor Linkage are included. Three additional 41.5mm Carburetors and one mounting plate are also included in this package, as well as (4) Torque Tube Stop Ring Clamps. I will also throw in (2) VC#2 Pipes that could be used for a conversion.

The engine was purchased for $7,782.00 in 2003. The engine arrived late and it turned out that I couldn’t mount it to my boat without extensive boat modifications. The boat modifications were made middle of 2003 and I lost my job in fall of that year. I moved to South Carolina in the fall and ran the Boat/Rossi combo in 2004, 2005, quit racing in 2006 at DePue. This has been a very strong engine for me.

The Enclosed Trailer is 6”-2”wide x 22’-6”long x 7’-6”high Box and is equipped with dual Axels and electric brakes, made from 5” steel channel and heavy gage aluminum skin. The Trailer is strong and pulls well. It needs to be refreshed with new paint. The Trailer is 8’-0 wide at the base. I started to add external storage on both side by welding addition square tubing to either side but never finished. These added pieces could be easy removed. Up for sale is our SST 120 Pugh boat. The boat is in great condition. No paint on the boat. This is the former Gary Pugh’s Hooters boat. We replaced wood on the boat as needed when we got it from minor bumps previous. It’s now as close to a brand new boat as it gets. $7,500
We have 5 SST 120 powerheads left for sale. One of which is a Brand New Block that has never had a piston in it. (still doesn’t have anything in it). Never had a single part installed.
We also have a Sport C Gran Prix non capsule boat. These non capsule boats have been the “go to” boat for many years. this has had the sponsons reinforced with Carbon Fiber and foam core. Cockpit has been reinforced by Kevlar, Carbon Fiber and foam core. This is a competitive hull. It has had updates on the bottom. Finished 3rd overall at Kankakee and took a second at Champlin with a 185 lb driver.

1983 Hydrostream Comp Vandal Stringer bottom, in excellent condition. Bottom has been blueprinted straightened and corners sharpened. Transom has no cracks very solid. Boat has been kept indoors. The boat is Blue and gray.
